TL;DR
The Core Breakdown
OCD support networks don't fail from a lack of care; they fail because the individual lacks the vocabulary to describe intrusive thoughts during high-anxiety episodes, causing communication to fragment.
The Strategy
Grounded in 37 global interviews with individuals, therapists, and families. Explored conversational UI and wearable biometric triggers to capture compulsion cycles objectively without shame.
Validation
Research was accepted and presented at the 20th International Conference on Humanizing Work and Work Environment (HWWE 2022).

02 / Qualitative Findings

Vocabulary is the barrier, not intention.

Participants frequently hid compulsive behaviors even from spouses and close relatives because the intrusive thoughts sounded absurd or irrational when spoken out loud. Conversational interfaces acting as an objective, non-judgmental intermediary allow individuals to log triggers without fear of social penalty.
